MONTREAL ROLLS OUT ADVERTISING VEHICLES
By Adnews Staff
Montreal's taxi industry is testing a new advertising vehicle - literally. The Bureau du taxi de la Communaute Urbaine de Montreal has signed a deal with Toronto-based Molson Breweries to use its taxis to promote the brewer's Miller brand of beer. Taxis are painted in the yellow and black Miller colors and bear the campaign slogan, Miller mon Amerique (Miller My America). The ads will cruise the streets of Montreal until September 20, after which the bureau will assess the impact of the campaign and examine the possibility of using taxis as advertising vehicles on a regular basis. The Miller campaign also uses outdoor and five-second messages on Quebec TV and in Quebec cinemas. The campaign was created by Cossette Communication-Marketing of Montreal.
