BIC TAKES ADVANTAGE OF BACK TO SCHOOL SEASON

BIC of Toronto is trying to get kids excited about going back to school. The pen maker has launched a campaign and a contest to promote its products. The campaign uses national TV and radio advertising, as well as point-of-purchase materials created by Beakbane Marketing Inc. of Toronto. Contestants, who enter by filling out a ballot found in stores, have a chance to win $5,000 or one of 10 PlayStation video game systems. BIC says the back-to-school season is second only to Christmas for store traffic.
