GINGKO FOCUSES ON FARMERS IN AD CAMPAIGN

The Gingko Group of Toronto launched its first campaign this week for Foodland Ontario since winning the account last fall. The campaign uses TV to salute Ontario farmers and their hard work and dedication. It shows consumers that when they buy Ontario produce they're supporting the farmers and inviting them over for dinner. Transit and mall poster ads, as well as point-of-sale materials will also support the TV ads. The campaign is a switch from what consumers have seen from Foodland Ontario for the past several years. Until now, campaigns promoted that Ontario produce was fresher than imported produce because it didn't have to travel as far to make it to the stores. Foodland Ontario is part of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. Its mandate is to reinforce the quality of fruits and vegetables grown in Ontario.
