COMPAQ EXPANDS PRESARIO LINE

Compaq Computer Corp. of Houston has added five new computers to its Presario line of machines. Available in North America, the computers are called the 1200 and 1600 notebook machines, and the 2200, 4500 and 4800 desktop models. The 1200 and 1600 multimedia notebook computers allow users to play CDs for up to eight hours. The 2200 is dark in color and features a 180 megahertz Intel Pentium processor and improved PremierSound Audio with 10-stage equalization and extra bass kick. The 4500 features a new minitower design, laser sharp quality video and theatre sound. The 4800 offers realistic video playback for multimedia CDs, games, movie clips, the Creativity Imaging Centre and backlit easy access buttons.
