APPLE PUTS GLOBAL ACCOUNT UP FOR GRABS, REPORT SAYS

U.S.-based Apple Corp. has put its estimated $150 million(US) account up for review, according to a report in Advertising Age. Incumbent BBDO Worldwide of New York has said it will not participate in the review. The agency has had the European business since the early 1980s and won the U.S. business in 1986. Canadian Apple officials were unavailable to confirm that the account was up for grabs, or how the review will affect Canada. BBDO Canada of Toronto handles Canadian advertising for Apple.
