PANASONIC TOUTS REBEL GEAR STEREO IN TV AD

Toronto-based Panasonic Canada is showing shock resistant its Rebel Gear car stereo is. The company launched a national 30-second TV spot last week for the launch of the audio system in Canada. The commercial is shot in an auto wrecking yard and produced in a fast-paced music style. The Rebel Gear ad is desribed as an apolcalypic showdown between man and machine, set to a techno beat. The man is shocked to find out that the techno beat is still being emitted by a crushed car's CD player, which is perfectly intact. The ad was created by DDB Canada of Toronto. Heather Reid & Associates of Toronto is doing PR.
