SMITHSONIAN HAS A MAKEOVER

Smithsonian magazine is sporting a new look for the first time in its 27-year history. The redesigned version debuts with the July issue and features a new logo, new typeface and new illustrations. Headlines are in color and departments are clearly named. Smithsonian's editorial content focuses on art, science, tehcnology, nature, the environment and history. The U.S.-based monthly magazine is available by subscription only. It has a circulation of two million, including 8,139 Canadian subscribers. Canadian readers total .41% of Smithsonian's international circulation.
