NEC GIVES AWAY FREEBIES

NEC Computer Systems Division of Mississauga, Ont. is offering free cash, memory and modems in a promotion for its commercial desktop and notebook computers. Under the deal, customers who buy a PowerMate Value, PowerMate Performance or PowerMate Professinal Series commercial desktop machine will receive a $100 rebate. Those purchasing a Versa 6050 MMX notebook computer will receive a 16MG RAM card for free and customers buying a Versa 6200 notebook will receive a U.S. Robotics 33.6 Kbps upgradeable modem. The promotion is being supported with PR done by Continental Communications of Toronto. Each dealer will handle it's own advertising.
