GAS STATION CHAIN COULD BE LOOKING FOR AGENCY

Arco of Los Angeles is buying 52 Vancouver-area Super-Save Gas outlets from the Actton Group of Companies and may look for a Canadian agency to help promote them, Arco spokesperson Scott Loll told Adnews yesterday. The company will decide over the next couple of months if it will use one of its U.S. agencies or hire a Canadian agency. This is Arco's first foray into the Canadian retail market. The deal is expected to close late fall. Actton will continue to operate Super-Save Gas retail outlets in the interior of British Columbia and Super Gaz stations in Quebec.
