CHEZ BIG WINNER AT RADIO IMPACT AWARDS

The Radio Marketing Bureau presented its Radio Impact awards this week. Ottawa radio station, CHEZ 106FM, took top honors for a commercial for Labatt Breweries' Carlsberg beer. In addition, CHEZ walked away with top spot in the anti-smoking category. The station also received an honorable mention and a certificate of merit in the radio station-only promotion category. Second-place winner was Young & Rubicam of Toronto for work the agency did for Cadbury Beverages Canada. Y&R also won an honorable mention for another Cadbury spot. CKRY-FM of Calgary took the third-place trophy for work it had done for Harvey's, a fast food chain. CKRY also won a honorable mention and certificate of merit in Heatlh Canada's anti-smoking category.
