SEGA AND BANDAI RE-WORK DEAL

Japan-based Sega Enterprises and Bandai Co. have cancelled their planned merger a day before the move was to be approved. Instead the two have formed a business alliance. When the deal was announced last January, the two planned to created a global entertainment giant. It would have also created the largest video game company in Japan. Bandai is known for its Power Rangers and virtual pet toy, Tamagotchi.
