SNAPPLE HOLDS CONVENTION
By Adnews Staff
Snapple Natural Beverages bases its advertising campaign on letters received from their customers, so holding a convention is one way the company answered a unique question from one writer. At the request of Jennifer Murry, who asked if Snapple could "have some kind of special day or holiday or festival," the New York-based company will host The First Annual Snapple Convention. The event will be held Sunday at Hofstra University on Long Island, New York. More than 1000 people signed p during the first two weeks of registration, and a total of 3000 is expected. The festivities, over an area of 36,000 square feet, will consist of blind taste tests, Snapple talent shows, Snapple craft exhibits and a Wendy ("The Snapple Lady") look-a-like contest. Registration costs $5 and 20 Snapple labels.
