COREL SELLS ANOTHER SOFTWARE LINE

I. Hoffmann & Associates Inc. of Toronto has bought a second software line from Ottawa-based Corel Corp. The company now owns Corel's Medical Series of CD-ROMs which provide medical information to patients, their families and the public. There are seven discs available and more titles are being developed. Under the deal, Corel will acquire a minority interest in Hoffmann, plus royalties for a period of time. The terms of the deal are similar to an agreement made between Hoffmann and Corel last month, when Hoffmann bought the software giant's CD Home Collection. Advertising for both companies is done in-house. Hoffmann makes CD-ROMs targeted at kids.
