MANITOBA GETS VISUAL CALL DISPLAY
By Adnews Staff
Manitoba Telecom Services launched a visual call waiting service this week allowing users to see who's calling them while they're on the phone. To use the new feature, MTS customers must have a Vista 350 phone, call waiting, call display and name display. Visual call display will give users six options when a caller tries to reach an already occupied line. Customers can do things such as: drop the first call to answer the second, send the second caller a pre-recorded message that they're unavailable or answer the second call and join the first call for a three-way chat. MTS is supporting the launch of the new service with a multimedia campaign. TV, print and radio ads support the launch of the service. Palmer Jarvis Communications' Winnipeg office handled the campaign.
