REVIEW BOARD LOOKING FOR POOL OF AGENCIES
By Adnews Staff
The Advertising Review Board has begun a competitive process to establish a pool of ad agencies for Ontario government ministries and agencies. The move is being made because ad budgets have decreased and there is a need to streamline the process when timelines are short. The decision will also allow governments to quickly obtain the services of an agency without the cost of multiple competitions. The annual budget for the account is $1.5 million. A short list will be developed in early July. ARB is also planning to use a pool of PR agencies for government accounts. This will be finalized next week. It is expected that four or more agencies will be selected for each of the advertising and PR pools. Major government advertising programs such as Foodland Ontario will continue to use the regular advertising review process.
