ALLARD RIGHT FIT FOR PUZZLE MANUFACTURER
By Adnews Staff
Montreal-based agency Allard & Associates has signed on as the agency of record for Montreal-based puzzle manufacturer Wrebbit. The previous incumbents on the account were The BCP Group Ltd. for creative and Strategem Inc. for media buying, both of Montreal. Allard will handle both the creative and the buy on the $1-million-plus account. Wrebbit first looked for an agency in 1996 when it selected The BCP Group after a competition that involved five other agencies. When Wrebbit decided to drop The BCP Group, it went to Allard, because NATCOM, a former Montreal agency that merged with Allard, had been one of the agencies involved in the 1996 competition. Wrebbit had liked some of the agency's ideas. Wrebbit distributes 3D puzzles under the brand name Puzz-3D in 65 countries. The company also makes an All Paper line, which currently includes an all-paper clock that can be pieced together and made to work like a real pendulum clock and a Built Art Collection which includes a cardboard clock. An All Paper camera is set to launch later this year.
