MANULIFE TURNS TO THE 'NET TO PROMOTE JOBS

Manulife Financial of Waterloo, Ont. is trying to attract job hunters to its Internet site. The insurance company launched a campaign late last month that directs visitors to review job postings and apply on-line at the Manulife Financial Web site. The campaign uses newspaper, radio and transit created by Bernard Hodes Advertising of Toronto. The company decided to use the Internet to post jobs because it can generate more applications at a lower cost than traditional advertising such as newspapers.
