NEC OPENS CANADIAN DISTRIBUTION CENTRE

NEC Technologies Canada opened its first Canadian-based distribution centre in Mississauga, Ont. last week. Prior to the centre's opening, NEC's finished goods had been shipped from the company's U.S. distribution centres directly to the warehouses of its Canadian resellers. The company says the Mississauga centre, which will house NEC Technologies' full product line, will create faster, more efficient service for its Canadian customers. Once the Mississauga location is fully operational, NEC will begin assessing the possibility of opening another Canadian distribution centre in Vancouver. NEC handles its Canadian advertising in-house. High Road Communications of Toronto handles the company's PR.
