Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation debuts podcast
By Derek Winkler

The Toronto-based Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation has launched a new podcast called “Carry The Fire.” The eight-episode podcast is hosted by broadcaster Lisa LaFlamme and highlights personal stories of cancer patients, doctors, nurses and researchers at the hospital. It can be found online at <http://www.carrythefire.ca/podcast> as well as through various podcast distribution services.
“With two in five Canadians expected to receive a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, cancer affects us all,” said LaFlamme. “At The Princess Margaret, groundbreaking progress is being made every day, and our podcast will offer a candid, human perspective on the real-life journeys of patients, families and loved ones. Through these intimate conversations, we hope to ease the fear surrounding cancer and bring comfort and hope to those who need it most.”
