Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation conducts Colour to Conquer campaign

The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation of Toronto has begun a fundraising campaign called “Colour to Conquer.” The initiative encourages consumers to dye their hair in bright colours during the month of May to raise funds for research at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. The campaign began with an event in Toronto called the “Colour Club” which featured a temporary installation in the city’s downtown area raising awareness about the promotion. It also makes use of a website at <http://www.colourtoconquer.ca>. Sponsors of the effort include Bell Media, Joico, the Allied Beauty Association, Canrad Beauty, DannyCo, Salon Magazine and Extend-it.

“As Canada's largest cancer research and care centre, The Princess Margaret is pioneering cutting-edge ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, but we can't do it alone,” said Michael Burns, president and CEO of The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. “By colouring your hair and raising funds for world-leading cancer research, you're helping us make great strides in extending the lives of those living with cancer.”
