MICROSOFT NETWORK LAUNCHES CANADIAN PROGRAMMING

Microsoft Canada Inc. of Mississauga, Ont. launched its first season of Canadian programming on the Microsoft Network this week. Available over the Internet, the Microsoft Network consists of six channels. The initial Canadian programming features four shows, available only in Canada. The Canadian content will be complemented by programming from the U.S., France, Australia and Britain. The four new shows are: DewLine Comics, a line of interactive comic books; Freaky Stories, a series of strange urban legends; Splice, which examines communication technology in Canada; and Fou-Net, a French-language installment that is a satirical take on Quebec news.
