AIR MILES PROGRAM TARGETS EMPLOYERS

Toronto-based Loyalty Management Group says it has found a new way to motivate employees. The company launched its Air Miles Incentives program in Calgary this week and will roll it out to Edmonton at the end of the month. Under the program, employees of small and mid-sized businesses can collect air miles from their employers for a job well done. The points can also be used towards such things as tickets for sporting events and renting a car. The program will roll out to the rest of Canada over the next year. Advertising for the program uses postcards, direct mail, newspaper inserts and telemarketing. It is being done by Wunderman Cato Johnson of Toronto. National Public Relations of Toronto is handling PR.
