AT&T CANADA OFFERS NEW CALLING PLAN

The long distance telephone war is heating up in Canada. Earlier this week, AT&T Canada Long Distance Services Co. launched a new long-distance calling plan for residential users. The offer allows customers to save by-the-minute on long-distance calls made within the same province. AT&T's savings plan comes in the wake of BC Tel launching its Affinity long-distance offer last week. Earlier this year, Sprint Canada introduced its "THE MOST by the minute" flat-rate savings plan supported by a national advertising campaign. AT&T will not be doing any product-specific advertising for its new calling plan, but the offer will be rolled into the company's future advertising.
