Lung Health Foundation begins campaign

The Lung Health Foundation of Toronto has begun a campaign to raise awareness of lung disease. The campaign includes the participation of Olympic swinner Maggie Mac Neil, who describes her own experience with asthma. The campaign is part of the foundation’s “7 Days of Giving” initiative this month.
“I am one of the lucky few who has defied the odds to excel in a sport that demands endurance, stamina and healthy lungs,” said Mac Neil. “It hasn't been easy, and for kids under the age of 14, it is one of the most chronic diseases and a leading cause of school absenteeism and hospitalization.”
