3M RELEASES ENHANCED PRINTER

The 3M Canada Company, based in London, Ont., introduced a new four-color printer to the market recently. Called the Scotchprint Printer 2000, the printer features improvements in speed, quality and resolution. Printing at resolutions ranging from 25-400 pixels per inch in a single pass, users can produce four-color images at up to 2,600 square feet per hour with the Scotchprint 2000. 3M says this makes the new product six times faster than the existing Scotchprint 9512 printer. The Scotchprint 2000 can also adjust to different media, allowing it to print on transfer media, interior or exterior imaging paper or direct print marking films. Users of the printer have a variety of additional options to choose from. These include a fifth color print station, a large roll-feed and take up and an automated color control, as well as a large toner replenishment supply. 3M Canada handles its advertising in-house.
