Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation signs deal with Beauchesne

The Montreal-based Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation has signed a promotional agreement with author, screenwriter and actress Sarah-Maude Beauchesne. She will act as a spokesperson for the foundation’s fundraising activities, including its annual “Let's Shed Light on Breast Cancer” campaign.
“Awareness is the key to early detection and can save many lives,” said foundation president and CEO Karine-Iseult Ippersiel. “By practising breast observation, women will learn about their breasts and be able to recognize recent and persistent changes that merit further investigation. Among 30-to-49-year-olds, 17% of all cancer deaths are due to breast cancer. This is huge. We really need to talk about the topic, be vigilant and practise breast observation at home.”
