Camden funds new award at The Creative School

Advertising agency Camden has signed a five-year agreement to fund a new Camden Advertising Award for French-language Marketing at The Creative School, a department of Toronto Metropolitan University, formerly Ryerson University. According to the company, the funding is part of its support for the education of francophone marketing students in Ontario. A French-speaking domestic undergraduate at the school will be named as the award’s first recipient in November.

“Several of my colleagues here at Camden are graduates of The Creative School’s programs at Toronto Metropolitan University, and the quality of their education is second-to-none,” said Thomas Magny, creative director at Camden’s Toronto office. “It was therefore natural for us to look to them for a concrete way to encourage and provide financial support for someone who will be entering the industry in a few years here in Toronto, and who will be better equipped to handle Canada’s linguistic diversity.”
