A&W readies Whistle Dog video

Fast food chain A&W Food Services of Canada is preparing a promotion in support of the limited-time return of its Whistle Dog menu item. This is the first time the hot dog has been available from the chain since 2017. The effort consists of a documentary-style video called “Bring Back the Whistle Dog,” which highlights the efforts of various consumers to convince the chain to return the item to its menu. It will be released on Aug. 12 on A&W’s social media pages and on YouTube.
“Our guests have been very persistent,” said Amanda Wang, director of national promotions and loyalty at A&W. “Given our new partnership with the Toronto Blue Jays, this felt like the perfect summer to bring back the Whistle Dog and give the people what they want.”
