PlayStation begins Play Has No Limits campaign

Sony Interactive Entertainment has begun a promotion for its PlayStation video game brand called “Play Has No Limits.” Developed in collaboration with Media Molecule and Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, the promotion consists of two videos featuring Wayne Simmonds of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Dalano Banton of the Toronto Raptors. The videos depicts the personal stories of the two as they worked to become professional athletes. The animated videos were made using the video game Dreams by Toronto artist Matt Bergasse.

Consumers are also invited to submit their own stories of achieving their goals via the Maple Leafs and Raptors mobile applicatioins. The company will donate six dollars for each qualifying entry to the MLSE Foundation Change the Game initiative. Submitters will also be entered into a draw for a Maple Leafs or Raptors prize package. The promotion will run until March 28.

“Simmonds and Banton are incredible role models with powerful stories of pushing the boundaries of play which embody the ethos of our brand,” said Shelly Walia, director of marketing and public relations at PlayStation Canada, “It was an honour to work in collaboration with MLSE, Media Molecule and the Dreams teams to bring their inspirational stories to life in a way that shows ‘Play Has No Limits.’”
