COLUMBIA MOVES BEER EAST

The Columbia Brewing Co. of Creston, B.C. has brought a slice of British Columbia to Ontario. The company introduced its Kokanee brew to the province this week. The beer is available in restaurants, as well as in six-, 12- and 24-cases of bottles and cans. TV and radio advertising support the launch of the beer in Ontario. It was created by Bryant, Fulton & Shee of Vancouver. Kokanee has been brewed since 1959. It is also available in Washington State and Idaho. For the Ontario market, the beer will be made in London by Labatt Breweries of Canada. The Columbia Brewing Company also brews Kokanee Light, Kokanee Gold Kootenay, Kootenay Mountain Ale, Kootenay True Ale and Kootenay Black Lager.
