CAMPAIGN HOUSE GETS POETIC
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Campaign House Worldwide launched a trade campaign recently for Goodyear Engineered Products. The ads are for such products as power transmission, industrial hoses and conveyor belting. Citing statistics that 73% of people don't read ad copy, the agency came up with a new strategy it has dubbed Poet Fact. Campaign House CEO Richard Truman says in a release that the ad text reads in a lyrical, friendly and poetic way. A portion of one ad says, "The majestic Eagle PD begins its flight. A die hard competitor that knows not when to give in. A synchronous, simpatico motion of silence. A flangeless sprocket joins in the continuous rolling tooth engagement." Internet advertising for Goodyear's engineering products may be introduced later this year.
