DONER SCHUR PEPPLER DELIVERS ON PUROLATOR ACCOUNT

After a lengthy search, Purolator Courier Ltd. of Mississauga, Ont. has finally found an agency it believes can deliver some solid advertising. Doner Schur Peppler Advertising of Toronto, originally Purolator's fourth choice, grabbed the estimated $3-million-a-year business last week. The agency got a second shot at the account after Purolator scrapped its original short list of three agencies earlier this year. On that list were Grey Advertising, Cossette Communication-Marketing and ICE, all of Toronto. In an earlier interview, Deborah Gray, Purolator's marketing manager, told Adnews the courier decided not to go with any of its top three picks because Purolator felt there was "a gap in what the business was about." Gray had said the company would hold talks with its fourth choice before beginning the selection process again.
