Toronto Star relaunches Wheels section

The Toronto Star has begun a rebranding and expansion of its Wheels automotive section. The weekly section contains news and feature articles aimed at automotive enthusiasts and casual drivers. According to the company, the updated section is intended to be “a meeting point for lifestyles and automobiles.” New features will include car reviews from buyers who have recently purchased a vehicle in Ontario, a question-and-answer column with a mechanic, articles about motorsport racers in various categories, news about new automotive technology and the Canadian automotive industry, and the role cars play in popular culture.
“It’s an automotive section for people who drive, ride or just love cars,” said publisher Jordan Bitove. “Wheels will examine how vehicles not only get us from Point A to Point B, but also the many ways they affect how we move, how we live and how we are entertained.”
