Cafe de Colombia releases coffee enhancement song

Cafe de Colombia, the promotional program of the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation, has begun an international online campaign in support of Colombian coffee. The promotion is timed to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the introduction of the Juan Valdez brand icon. The initiative consists of a song that is intended to enhance the taste of coffee.
The song was developed in association with Felipe Reinoso, a researcher at the Universidad de los Andes who specializes in how the brain associates sound frequencies and musical instuments with flavours such as bitterness, sweetness or acidity. The collaboration also included music producers Miguel De Narvaez and Juan Fernando Fonseca. The song, called “Colombia Coffee, Beyond Taste,” combines natural sounds with traditional Colombian music and specific frequencies associated with sweetness and bitterness. The song is available on Spotify and YouTube.
“Colombian Coffee has been for decades a benchmark of quality in the world,” said Natalia Valencia, marketing director at Cafe de Colombia. “What we seek is to take our customers to the next level of a different experience, where we involve other senses. That’s why we have decided to release this song so all our consumers will be able to enjoy it and intensify the experience of tasting the richest coffee in the world.”
