Kia debuts new branding

Korean automaker Kia Motors has undertaken a rebranding initiative. The Seoul-based company will now operate as Kia. It has also adopted a new logo and the corporate slogan, “Movement that inspires.” According to the company, the new branding is part of a long-term plan to expand beyond vehicle manufacturing to “create sustainable mobility solutions for customers.” The slogan is intended to “inspire consumers through products and services and their experiences with the brand.” while the shortened name is intended to emphasize that “movement is at the genesis of human development.”
“At Kia, we believe that transportation, mobility, and movement represent a human right,” said Ho Sung Song, president and CEO of Kia. “Our vision is to create sustainable mobility solutions for consumers, communities and societies globally. Today we start putting this vision into action with the launch of our new brand purpose and strategy for the future.”
