Enghouse, Access Communications launch TV service

Enghouse Networks of Markham, ON has formed an agreement with Access Communications of Regina to provide a hosted television service to Canadian service providers. According to the companies, the service will offer greater cost efficiencies and a better user experience that existing television systems. It offers operators access to approximately 200 channels of live television, accompanied by catch-up and restart functioned, digital video recording and on-demand content. It is aimed primarily at small and medium-sized television operators nationally.
“The Enghouse solution offers operators the ability to target market segments with high value TV services,” said Sunil Diaz, general manager of Enghouse Networks. “Through the partnership with Access Communications, we can offer these services at unmatched time-to-revenue and low deployment risk. We already have a number of operators signed up for the service and expect others to join in the coming months.”
