ABC Life Literacy Canada continues promotion

Toronto-based non-profit organization ABC Life Literacy Canada has extended a promotion intended to increase financial literacy. The effort consists of a new workbook called “New Neighbours,” which is part of the group’s HSBC Family Literacy First program. The free book can be downloaded from <http://www.familyliteracyfirst.ca> in English, French or Simplified Chinese. According to the organization, it is intended to help parents and children learn about money together. The Family Literacy First program was created in 2015 and now comprises 14 workbooks covering various literacy topics. The program is sponsored by HSBC Bank Canada.

“Talking comfortably about finances is an important part of helping kids develop a healthy relationship with money,” said Mack Rogers, executive director of ABC Life Literacy Canada. “We're so happy to have HSBC Bank Canada on board as our partner for this program so that we can further help families acquire the financial literacy skills they need to make sound decisions.”
