HomeStars breaks national TV campaign

HomeStars, a Toronto-based online service intended to connect homeowners with home service professionals, has begun its first national television advertising campaign. The campaign is timed to coincide with the company’s 15th anniversary. It consists of two 30-second commercials called “Forever HomeStars” and “Trust HomeStars.” The creative focuses on the trustworthiness of the professionals who can be hired through the service. The TV ads will be supported with digital ads on Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Gmail and Bing. The five-week campaign will run until the end of May. It was developed by Toronto-based Friends & Enemies, with media buying by Hawthorne Advertising.

“Even in these challenging times there are repairs that may need to happen around the house, or perhaps you’re using this time at home to plan your next renovation,” said Shir Magen, vice-president of marketing at HomeStars. “Whatever the reason, we want to help homeowners across the country to feel informed and empowered so they navigate that process safely and with confidence.”
