Wiegers Financial to sponsor Heart and Stroke hockey event

Wiegers Financial & Benefits of Saskatoon has signed-on as the presenting sponsor of the Hockey Heroes Weekend, an initiative of the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The fifth annual event will take place in Saskatoon in May. This will be the first time the event has had a presenting sponsor. During the event, amateur hockey players will play alongside NHL alumni to raise funds for the charitable organization and to raise awareness of the symptoms of stroke and the importance of immediate medical assistance.
“We are so grateful to Wiegers Financial & Benefits for stepping up as presenting sponsor of our Hockey Heroes Weekend,” said Dale Oughton, director of development for Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta at the foundation. “Their commitment will help to extend our vital public awareness messages like the FAST signs of stroke and the importance of knowing CPR.”
