Privacy Commissioner begins education campaign for young people

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada has begun a new initiative intended to educate young people about privacy issues. The effort takes the form of a series of activity sheets that present privacy information in a format intended to be easy to understand. The package includes a game called Privacy Snakes and Ladders which encourages children to make smart privacy choices, a Connect the Dots picture that incorporates a checklist of rules for maintaining online privacy, fill-in-the-blanks activity that involves creating a strong password, and a Word Search puzzle consisting of terms related to online privacy, among others. These materials are being hosted online at <http://www.youthprivacy.ca>.
