PROGRAM TO GET CANADIANS TO TAKE A LOOK AT THE COUNTRY

The Government of Canada wants Canadians to realize what the country has to offer. Several government departments have teamed up with the CTV Television Network, the TVA television network and Mediacom of Toronto to launch a three-year program called Attractions Canada. Under the program, the TV stations will launch a series of vignettes and clips featuring attractions of Canada. Mediacom has introduced billboard ads. The ads, which began this week, were created by Groupe Everest Communication and Marketing Consultants of Toronto. The government departments involved in the program are: the Canada Information Office, the Department of Canadian Heritage, the Canadian Tourism Commission and the National Capital Commission.
