CUPE conducts campaign in Kamloops

The Canadian Union of Public Employees has begun an out-of-home advertising campaign in Kamloops, BC in support of workers at Thompson Rivers University. The campaign consists of digital billboards along Highway 5 as well as ads on local buses. The executions are intended to raise awareness of the various services provided by this staff to students of the school. These services include administration, bookstore operation, course editing, marketing, events, grounds keeping, information technology work, library staffing and student support. The union represents 600 staff at the university. The campaign will run through the month.

“CUPE 4879 is so proud of our members and the excellent services they provide,” said Lois Rugg, president of the local union. “Our work is integral for post-secondary students to earn their certificates, diplomas, degrees and apprenticeships, benefitting everyone in the community.”
