Brain Tumour Foundation begins Hats for Hope campaign

The Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, a charitable organization based in London, ON, has begun a national promotion called "Hats for Hope" to coincide with Brain Cancer Awareness Day on Oct. 24. The effort is intended to raise funds and awareness for brain cancer research. It includes a website at <http://www.hatsforhope.ca> which encourages consumers to submit photographs of themselves wearing a tuque or other hat. The campaign also includes social media activities.

"October 24, 2018 will now be remembered as a day for brain cancer awareness and brain cancer hope," said Susan Marshall, CEO of the foundation. "Brain Cancer Awareness Day is a timely opportunity to remind Canadians about the importance of brain cancer and research needs. The 'Hats for Hope' campaign provides us with the opportunity to advocate, educate and have a direct impact on the lives of Canadians impacted by brain cancer."
