FORD TO UNLEASH NEW VERSION OF VEHICLES

Detroit-based Ford Corp. will introduce a new Ford Escort and limited edition Windstar minivan to the North American market in March. The new Escort is called the ZX2. It is targeted at younger buyers and has a 130- horsepower engine. It also features larger wheels, unique wheel covers and a power moonroof. The new Windstar Limited edition introduces a Family Entry System, which consists of a tip-slide driver's seat and an extended driver's door to allow easy access to the rear of the cabin from the driver's side. The van also features a conversation mirror which folds down from an overhead console. It gives front-seat occupants a wide-angle view of second and third row passengers. In Canada, advertising plans for the vehicles are still in the works. It will be done by Young & Rubicam of Toronto.
