GAME TESTER TRIES OUT WOLF GROUP
By Adnews Staff
Computer game tester Absolute Quality of Maryland has handed its PR and advertising accounts to the Wolf Group of Toronto. This is the first time the one-year-old company has used an agency. Michael Campbell, Wolf Campbell Public Relations' president, told Adnews Absolute hired Wolf based on the agency's previous work with other technology firms, without resorting to a competition. Wolf began working with Absolute on a project basis two months ago, producing a corporate brochure and handling some direct mail. Two weeks ago, the company made Wolf its agency of record. Wolf, which will handle the new account through its Toronto office, also has branches in Rochester and Buffalo, both of New York. It isn't unusual for the agency to drum up business in the U.S., Campbell said, estimating that about half of Wolf's new business this year has come from south of the border. Wolf's responsibilities will be centered around conducting PR for Absolute, but will also include some direct marketing, advertising and sales promotion. Absolute Quality services a worldwide clientele, testing computer games for most popular computer platforms
