HALLS GETS STRONGER

Adams Brands of Toronto will launch a national TV commercial later this week for its new Halls Extra Strong cough drop. The product was introduced to Canada earlier this month. It is already available in the United Kingdom where Halls Extra Strong accounts for 40% of total Halls sales. The cough drop has twice the level of menthol of regular Halls. In the 30-second spot, hyperbole is used in the form of a jumping cabin, both to represent the intensity of cold symptoms and the relief that Halls can provide. The ad was created by J. Walter Thompson of Toronto. It will be supported by posters in drug stores and outdoor signs at ski resorts. Adams Brands is a division of Warner Lambert Company.
