Durex, Foodora conduct Valentine's Day promotion

Condom brand Durex has begun a joint promotion with food delivery service Foodora. On Valentine's Day, consumers who order eligible menu items from participating restaurants in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal will also receive a package containing Durex Sensi-Thin condoms and Passion Cherry Play Lube. According to the companies, the menu items offers have been specially formulated to contain "natural aphrodisiac ingredients" intended to increase sexual libido. The promotion is aimed primarily at millennial-aged consumers. It is being supported with an influencer program in the three cities. The initiative was developed by 88Creative of Toronto.

"Foodora takes pride in offering customers a carefully curated selection of good eats, and we wanted to step up our game for a holiday that's heavily focused on enjoying food and drink with your significant other," said David Albert, managing director for Canada at Foodora. "We looked at last year's orders and saw a spike in cuisines such as sushi, pizza, and desserts. This year, our restaurant partners are taking menu items to a new level by incorporating foods that are said to put you in the mood."
