Edelman promotes two in Calgary

Edelman has promoted John Larsen to the position of general manager of Edelman Calgary. He joined the agency a year and a half ago as vice-president and national leader of its crisis and reputation risk practice. He will also continue in those positions. Larsen was most recently president of Zero Hour Strategy. Prior to that, he was a senior vice-president at Global Public Affairs and president of the Corpen Group. He was also manager of executive communications for the City of Calgary and an associate vice-president at GPC International.
Megan Spoore, vice-president of client strategy and crisis and reputation risk, has been promoted to the additional position of deputy general manager in Calgary. Since joining the agency in 2010, she has held a number of positions including senior account manager, account director, senior account director and interim general manager. Prior to joining Edelman, Spoore spent five years at National Public Relations.
