Boom 97.3 conducts mixtape promotion

Toronto radio station Boom 97.3 has begun an online promotion called "Mixtape of You." The initiative makes use of a website at <http://www.mixtapeofyou.com> that will create a playlist of ten songs representative of a visitor based on their answers to a series of questions such as "When was your first kiss," "Which clique did you belong to in high school" and "What's your fav old school flick." Users can also choose a tape style, label and name for their mixtape. Each tape created will appear on the website. Users are also encouraged to share their results via social media.
"No matter what type of music you listened to, if you grew up in the 70s, 80s or 90s, at some point you made a mixtape," said Stu Jeffries, morning show host at Boom 97.3. "And mixtapes weren't just a collection of songs. They were expressions of ourselves through the music we loved."
