The Colony Project expands into Quebec

Toronto-based The Colony Project has opened a second office in Montreal to serve clients in Quebec. The agency will operate in that province under the name La Force du Collectif. The Colony Project, which was launched in January, is a division of public relations agency Citizen Relations aimed at clients seeking public relations services outside of their traditional activities.

Michèle Fortier has joined the agency as director for Quebec. She was most recently a corporate communications specialist at Videotron. Prior to that, she was communications director at Behaviour Interactive and public relations manager at Reebok. She has also worked at Weber Shandwick, Strategy First and Ubisoft Montreal.

"As a national agency, it's imperative we have expertise in the Quebec market to cater to the distinct needs and culture of the province," said Amanda Shuchat, managing director of the agency. "By opening a Montreal office in our first year, we can build with that lens in mind to offer fully integrated offerings that span both English and French Canada. Public relations is evolving, and with the emergence of new types of interactions and audiences, we wanted to bring services aimed to reveal deep insights, smash boundaries and deliver meaningful results, in all parts of the country."
